Description

What is a uPVC Fixed Window?

A uPVC Fixed Window is a non-operable window made with a uPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) frame and glass panel. Unlike sliding or casement windows, it cannot be opened and is designed mainly to allow natural light and outside views.

These windows are often called “picture windows” because they provide a clear, uninterrupted view of the outdoors. They are commonly installed in spaces where ventilation is not required but natural light and aesthetics are important.

Main Components of uPVC Fixed Window

1. uPVC Frame

  • Made from rigid uPVC profiles

  • Strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant

  • Provides excellent insulation

2. Glass Panel

Different types of glass can be used:

  • Clear glass

  • Frosted glass

  • Laminated safety glass

  • Double-glazed insulated glass

Glass thickness generally ranges from 4 mm to 30 mm depending on glazing type.

3. Glazing Beads

  • Hold the glass panel securely inside the frame.
